COVID 19 Latest
As you will know the Prime Minister announced on Monday 22 June that places of worship may re-open from 4th July, providing certain conditions are met and government guidance is followed. The government has also given permission for weddings to resume from the same date.
The detailed guidance from the government is still in preparation. Updated guidance from the national church will follow that. It may, therefore, be several days before we have all the information we need to begin to plan for physical services to start again at some stage. What is clear is that when we do return there will be:
- No singing,
- Social distancing will be in place,
- Hand sanitising will be needed,
- Restrictions on numbers in the building (30 max)
- Continued restrictions on the over 70s and anyone who is Covid 19 vulnerable.
We await the detailed instructions, but it is very unlikely that we will resume services until August at the very earliest. We cannot open until and unless we know what the regulations are and whether we can do it safely. Meanwhile we have online services each week.
Thank you for visiting our website, please take a look around and see what we do and what we can offer you as a visitor or what you would like to be involved with as a member of our church.
